Jasmine Absolute India
Jasminum grandiflorum absolute has a typically intense, floral, fruity, warm, rich and highly diffusive scent. This ingredient, which belongs to the family of white flowers, is naturally powerful and sensual. Compared to the Jasmine g. absolute from India, the one from Egypt is more animalic and greener.
A star ingredient in the world of perfumery, Jasmine Absolute can be used in all types of fragrances: masculine, feminine, light or sensual. It can be added to synthetic juices to impregnate and add depth and naturalness. It goes well with fruity or marine accords and is also used in woody or oriental bases.
Jasminum grandiflorum is a nocturnal queen, adapted to be pollinated by nocturnal insects such as moths, rather than bees and birds, which are active during the day. The flower is full of oils and coated with a waxy substance that protects it from the heat.
India is one of the world’s two leading producers of jasmine extract for perfumery.
During the harvest season, from June to November, picking begins early in the morning. The main reason for harvesting at night is that this is when the flowers are fully open; any closed flowers are left for the next day’s harvest. After harvesting, the flowers are quickly transported to the local factory to be processed into concrete by solvent extraction. The concrete is then washed with ethanol at our factory to obtain the absolute.
Jasmine flowers are among the lightest, weighing only about 0.2 grams each. It takes about 6,000 flowers to make one kg of flowers.
