Givaudan donates CHF 100,000 to support earthquake-affected communities in Colombia

Givaudan has announced a donation of CHF 100,000 to support communities in Colombia affected by the devastating 7.4 magnitude earthquake that struck on 10 August 2026. The earthquake impacted communities across western and central Colombia, causing widespread destruction and leaving hundreds of thousands of people in need of assistance.

The donation, made through the Givaudan Humanitarian Fund, which provides financial support during major crises like natural disasters in areas where the Company is present, will be channelled through Save the Children Switzerland, to support child-focused aid including provision of educational support, child protection, primary healthcare, and psychosocial care.

The humanitarian impact remains significant across the region. According to the latest situation report published by the United Nations Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, more than 466,700 people have been affected across 16 departments, with communities continuing to face the consequences of extensive damage to homes, community facilities, health facilities, water supply systems, road infrastructure, and educational facilities. The disaster has claimed over 330 lives, injured more than 4,500 people and disrupted education for over one million students, underscoring the significant recovery needs that remain.

This donation is part of Givaudan's continued commitment to supporting communities affected by humanitarian crises through the Givaudan Humanitarian Fund. Established in December 2024, the fund provides financial assistance in response to major emergencies, including natural disasters, pandemics and conflicts in regions where the Company operates. Since its launch, the fund has supported relief and recovery efforts in several countries and has provided a total of CHF 750,000 to help communities around the world. This initiative is aligned with Givaudan's ambition to improve the lives of millions of people in the communities where it sources and operates by 2030.
