This safety initiative is part of our broader environment, health and safety (EHS) strategy and includes training as well as an opportunity to interact and discuss these topics with peers across the Company.

Nurturing a positive safety culture

Nurturing a positive safety culture

A good health and safety culture is critical to reducing the number of work-related injuries. At Givaudan, we uphold this culture by actively nurturing the concept of safety, and by caring for each other, our people and our environment.

Our goal is to get ‘Everyone Home Safe, Every Day’, and awareness campaigns and training programmes have helped instil this mantra into our Company culture. We go beyond rules and processes to empower all employees to take shared responsibility.

Our active focus on safety is reflected in high safety statistics. In our engagement survey, scores related to caring for the safety of others reinforce how important this topic is in the organisation:

  • 91% of employees said that they are comfortable reporting a safety issue;
  • 87% agreed that safety is a priority at Givaudan;
  • 85% felt that safety problems are addressed if they occur.

These results show the dedication of our people in making our Company a safe place to work.

Boosting wellbeing from colleague to colleague

As part of our purpose we have the goal that by 2025 everyone on our sites will have access to mental and physical health initiatives, tools and training (our current status is 82%). Our ‘Happier + Healthier’ Givaudan programme is one of the actions that we’re taking to ensure that on each of our sites we have wellbeing programmes and support that meet local needs. Our Workplace Wellbeing Leads are bringing this to life.

“Our actions are focused on embedding positive wellbeing habits into our day-to-day life and supporting our people to be the best versions of themselves through all aspects of their lives.”

Martha Tracey, Head of Employee Experience
