Givaudan presents Innovative Naturals Programme to customers and journalists in Paris

On February 5 2008, customers and media representatives were briefed about Givaudan's strategic focus on creative and sustainable fine fragrance development.

At this event in Paris, Givaudan introduced the essence of its positioning in sustainable fine fragrance development, such as securing sourcing for sensitive materials by implementing ethical sourcing programmes, providing the best new molecules and having a rich team of perfumers.

Givaudan's unique partnership programmes for two new sustainable raw material sourcing projects - tonka bean and sandalwood oil - were presented in Le Laboratoire, a  new creative space dedicated to experimental collaboration between artists and scientists, located in the heart of Paris.

Customers and journalists had the opportunity to discover the Innovative Naturals programme, and how it enriches the palette of our perfumers with new and exclusive naturals.

Gilles Andrier, CEO, commented:  "We have a responsibility in making sure that the natural resources currently used will not vanish in the future and that they are sustainable. It is in our vital interest to secure resources going forward to be able to also create unique fragrances in the future."

The event included presentations from the partnering organisations:  Conservation International with whom Givaudan has entered into a unique tonka bean programme and  Mount Romance, Givaudan's partner for the Australian sandal wood oil  programme.
