TasteEssentials™ Vanilla brings you the highest quality, authentic and creative vanilla flavours and tastes. We have unlocked how consumers in different parts of the world think about vanilla. From Los Angeles to Shanghai, more than 150 of our new vanilla flavours, tastes, and concepts were chosen for consumer testing.
During our research, it was obvious how emotionally-charged consumers' reactions to vanilla can be. Our focus group participants often expressed fond memories of childhood, holidays, indulgence and shared moments. That is how important it is to get the 150-plus varieties of vanilla flavour just right; consumers are tasting their lives through our flavours.
Time and again, we noticed common threads in our research. The words creamy, milky, beany and buttery topped the list of attributes that inspire consumers to change their opinion from 'I like' to 'I love'.
Of course, vanilla does not just mean plain vanilla. A vast array of flavour variations can be combined with it to create a whole new taste experience. Over the course of three years, our sensory team mapped 75 of the most popular vanilla ice creams with over 4,000 consumers from 20 different countries and identified preferences and drivers of liking.
Our findings provide unrivalled reference and support information for recommending vanilla flavour profiles for local markets, offering our customers the best flavours to satisfy and delight their target consumers.
